△Summer Special Plan (July – September 2025)

We are pleased to announce that, for three months only—from July to September 2025—our hands-on washi workshop will move to SHUZENJI WASHI LABORATORY under a special Summer Plan.
During this period the regular program at the Shuzenji Kamiya Washi Studio will be suspended. We have made this change in response to the recent extreme summer temperatures and the lack of air-conditioning in the studio; thank you for your understanding.

Although you will not be able to take home the washi paper you make on the day (we will instead give you a finished sheet of Shuzenji washi as a gift), the Summer Plan offers several advantages:

• Easy access—SHUZENJI WASHI LABORATORY is located right in the heart of Shuzenji Onsen.
• Comfortable environment—enjoy papermaking in a fully air-conditioned space.
• Great value—take part in the experience at a significantly reduced price.

Before 2-7 days from your reservation：20％ of your total fee
Previous day：50％ of your total fee
Same day：100％ of your total fee

Please make a reservation through the booking form by the day before your visit.

Please note that during the Summer Special Plan, you will not be able to take home the paper you create. Instead, we will present you with a professionally crafted piece of Shuzenji Washi as a keepsake.

Sessions may be held together with other guests. Thank you for your understanding.

There is no fee for guests who do not make the washi. They are welcome to listen to the full presentation alongside the participants. If you feel the experience has value, we would be grateful for a voluntary donation of any amount in the offering box at the entrance.
