We are pleased to announce the launch of a new collaborative product at our store, Shuzenji Washi Laboratory.
This work is a collaboration with Kokonots Cashmar, created using our original Kouzo rakusui washi and depicting Dainichi Nyorai, the principal Buddha of Shuzenji Temple.
Beginning in spring 2026, this artwork is scheduled to be featured as the design for the temple’s official goshuin and goshuin book.
Artist Profile
Kokonots Cashmar
Born in Shuzenji, the artist has spent many years studying European art, with a particular focus on the Renaissance.
In July 2025, they made their official debut at Ginza Yū Gallery.
From October 2025, the artist began operating the Kashumaru Gallery Shop at the Shuzenji Burari Market.
The artwork Seated Statue of Dainichi Nyorai has also been selected to appear on the official goshuin stamp and goshuin stamp books of Fukuchiyama Shuzenji Temple beginning in 2026.
